Sympathetic Archizine Rack

A magazine rack, that began as a Modernist dream, only to realize that it was already shattered. Que an indefinite period of sympathetic repair, an evolving structure that has its dreams and scars, its history and an uncertain future. For now it will hold printed promises that will be realised in dog ears and slumped spines.

David Treloar

FOLD

FOLD.
Press release:
an imagined excerpt from a conversation between John, John and Tracy from Private and Confidential from the pages of Untitled Magazine.

- Ok, give me the first good one - Overlap? - Maybe - Cusp? - I like that, makes me think of Cusp Catastrophes. - Venn? - I like the implication but maybe it’s a bit.. - I like that one, I think we should come back to it, - It’s got overlap, something about proximity but also what lies outside of that, Its the closest yet - Slip? - No. - Dendron? - What’s that? - Greek for Tree apparently! - Yeah sounds nice, I know it’s not the same thing but it has a feel of the risomic - Can you spell rhizomic? - No. - What’s the greek for potato.. Potatus? ...Slide? - The penguin in Fight Club - Bleed? - I understand but it may seem a bit teenage angst no? - Lattice? - Lettuce? - Lattice - Lettuce Salad? - Lattice Salad? - Maybe! - Compound? - hmmm - A mixture of two or more elements, an enclosure, a site of work. - Good but a little heavy. - Hi Tracy . - What are you doing? - John 1 is running show titles past me. - Lets hear them. -Compound, Conduction,Dialogue, Crocodile Heads, Alloys, Link, Fold, Tack, Echo, Reverb, Zebra, Moon, Exchange, Arakis - Ummm, Crocodile Heads, that’s good - Yeah I was thinking that too, but it’s slightly difficult no? - I drew a crocodile on the train - I really like it, we all seem to have done something with crocodiles recently. - Animals towards architecture, that’s the future, something about an inseparable blend of geometry, texture and flesh. - Snappy title! Let’s use it. - Yep, Crocodile Heads. It’s got to be. - Yeah definitely Crocodile Heads. Or Lattice Salad - Fold it is then! - So we’re all agreed then?

- How do you work that out?
